Going Home! [15 Dec 2009|12:57pm]
I have been away from home for five months!
Today I have graduated from army training and returning home for Christmas! XD
It was a challenging journey but I have learned a lot about myself and what I am capable of.
I can be independent and I can be disciplined enough to run my own life. I have gotten closer to God as well.
I hope I continue this path and continue to be a success.

It's sooo Good to Be Back [14 Nov 2009|06:53am]
Just as the title says, it is good to be back!

It is 0951 hrs, am I lying on my bed in the barracks of a army training base. It's Saturday so we have time for ourselves now. I have finally received my laptop from home and is ready to do so much catching up. Like ready manga, writing stories, watching anime, just to name a very long list of things to do. I am determined to write more in my journals. But LJ and Bloggger. Facebook helps me do that. I am not a social netfly, but it's fun to play around I guess. :)

Mushmallow will be happy. We can start RPing again. Being the army isn't so bad. Just do as you told and you won' be bothered. However, I can do anything about other soldiers in training. I only get punished because of them acting silly. But oh well. I will survive. I have been doing so, so far. :)

Summer Countdown [04 Jun 2009|11:43pm]
[ mood | excited ]

Posted in dA, in two months I will be shipped off to basic training.
I will be in basic training for four to eight weeks. So that four to
eight week without the internet.

...I'm sure I will survive. :)

To explain why I joined the military, is because my parents can't support me AND
my sister going to college (who had graduated from high school yesterday). So, she and I decided
to join the military to complete our education and have the government pay for it while getting paid, since it is hard to get a job here because of our current economy.

I am looking forward to it. I'm not nervous, I am pretty excited. I will be independent and fully responsible for myself for real, without the guidance or presence of my parents ( I will miss them very much though).

Strange yet delicious.
Contrary to popular belief, you're not always eaten raw.

Samurai Fanart - femHeibei [21 Jan 2009|11:02am]
Some fan art! Man, I was in a artist block drought. I couldn't draw anything. So I decided to browse to deviantART for image stock/references to get inspired. I also remembered that I have some image stock on my computer and used those images to create these pics. The images they are base from do not belong to me but to fellow deviants. :)

[ mood | anxious ]

As of today I am a member of the Army. I am to be shipped off at the end of July and being basic training in August in another state. Wow. I never would of thought I would be in the military like my parents did. But, I need to complete my education and I'm going to let the government pay for it. For the first time in my life I'm going to be truly independent and be on my own in a professional environment.

Art Tatse Quiz [23 Oct 2008|09:00am]

Your result for What Your Taste in Art Says About You Test...

Simple, Progressive, and Sensual

28 Ukiyo-e, 18 Islamic, 17 Impressionist, -31 Cubist, -37 Abstract and 25 Renaissance!

Ukiyo-e (浮世絵, Ukiyo-e), "pictures of the floating world", is a genre of Japaneseand paintings produced between the 17th and the 20th centuries. it mostly featured landscapes, historic tales, theatre, and pleasure. Ukiyo is a rather impetuous urban culture that has bloomed in popularity. Although the Japanese were more strict and had many prohibitions it did not affect the rising merchant class and therefore became a floating art form that did not bind itself to the normal ideals of society.

People that chose Ukiyo-e art tend to be more simplistic yet elegant. They don't care much about new style but are comfortable in creating their own. They like the idea of living for the moment and enjoy giving and receiving pleasure. They may be more agreeable than other people and do not like to argue. They do not mind following traditions but are not afraid to move forward to experience other ideas in life. They tend to enjoy nature and the outdoors. They do not mind being more adventurous in their sexual experiences. They enjoy being popular and like being noticed. They have their own unique style of dress and of presenting themselves. They may also tend to be more business oriented or at the very least interested in money making adventures. They might make good entrepreneurs. They are progressive and adaptable.

Tea! [29 Sep 2008|03:58pm]

[ music | Funky Guru - Prem Joshua ]

My dad asks me if I wanted to spend the day with him. I decided,
sure, I go with him. He wanted make a few errands and one of them
was to visit a tea store. He promised a friend that he would go for he and two
others were planing a Father-Daughter event at our church. The store we go
to is called Teavana in a mall. The place was really cool! It had all kinds of tea and my dad
and I were sampling them, smelling and tasting. The first tea we sampled was Snow Geisha. It had
a wonderful smell. It was a light white tea and it was good. The second tea we choose was Roobius Chai. It was little stronger than the Snow Geisha it was really good. A third chai tea was chosen, was Roobius Lemon Twist. The tea store had all sorts of little tea accessories. My favorite was the cast iron teapots and their sets. If I was to by a set I wouldn't be able to decide the between the Warrior armor set or the Koi. :) I think I have become a instant tea fan!
Also, my dad bought me a CD from the store, Asian Lounge. It has the Yoshida Bros. on it. XD

Spring Semester 08' [17 Jun 2008|10:17pm]
[ mood | determined ]
[ music | Promise of a Goddess (artist unknown) ]

Today, I have finally gotten my textbooks. Of course for "used" books they are ridiculously expensive. Their are rumors about that the textbook companies are changing little things like pictures, wordings, deleting certain words and paragraphs so they can sell the "new edition" so they can make thousands of dollars every single semester...

Everyone knows that's the truth and been knowing that...nothing new under the sun :P

Anyway, I can do my math homework now. I am a week behind in my Word 2007 class. So I have a lot of work to do over the week and the weekend :(. At least I'm not worried over my math. Since I took the basic math class last semester, I feel very confident of take this math class XD.s

Another Horror Movie :P [03 Jun 2008|10:52pm]
Today is my sister's 17th birthday. For her birthday my mom got her a movie that she been wanting to see, Cloverfield. I wasn't really looking forward to it. But it had its funny moments and there was this was moment in the end that made me cry out. I watched the behind-the-scenes of the creature. It was interesting how this movie was inspired. The creators were on trip in Japan and were fascinated by Godzilla's ever present admiration of fans that it had dozens of movies focusing on giant monsters. Here in America we only did King Kong, so the Cloverfield monster is the U.S. Godzilla.

God, I hate Horror movies! [11 May 2008|02:30pm]
It's Mother's Day, and my family decides to watch a movie called One Missed Call. In the summary is about people receiving a phone call foretelling their deaths. I do not watch horror...at all! My gosh...my hands and legs are trembling a little. It was creepy my parents thought it was weak. It had a rating of a star and a half....God...so creepy! I hate horror!

Inspired, but What to Do? [29 Apr 2008|12:17pm]
Today, I feel itching to something. The other day I posted two chapters to a Peacemaker Kurogane fan fiction that I postponed from writing for a year. I now feel inspired to draw some Peacemaker Kurogane fan art to go along with the story. With my writing muse back in action I also have Naruto fan fiction outline to write. I also would like to some Samurai 7 fan work, mostly art. Perhaps I can work on a fan comic which will involve another Samurai 7 OC and my own little mix to a few characters. My ideas and inspiration are running into each other and pushing and shoving in line. I have thought of working on each idea of writing and drawing for an hour each.

I have a lot of reading to do as well. I have checked out from the library volume two and three of the Tales of the Otori by Liam Hearn (It is a must read for Japan culture/samurai fans, a must). I also have a mystery book based in Old Japan, too cool! I have read some of chapter one of each book. Like the drawing and writing, I've planned to spend a hour each on them...

However, I have projects and homework to do. I especially need to get caught up on my Art classes and my Cultural Nutrition! I must do my art projects today. Let's see how this goes...
